Tips for Cut and Paste Activities
- Color before you cut. Pieces are much easier to color while they are still on the sheet.
- Use a glue stick. It is less messy than liquid glue and the paper stays flat.
- Print on card stock if you want pieces that can be moved around and used again.
- Let kids choose. There are more pieces than they need, so every finished picture looks different.
- Make it a lesson. Count pieces, name shapes and colors, or ask kids to tell a story about what they made.
