Turn Any Photo into a Coloring Page

Pick a photo of your pet, your kids or your house and get clean black lines ready to print. Your photo never leaves your device.

How to turn a photo into a coloring page

  1. Choose a photo. Tap "Choose a photo" to pick one from your phone or computer, or take a new picture.
  2. Adjust the lines. Less detail gives big, simple shapes for little kids; more detail keeps fur, hair and bricks for older kids and adults. Bold lines are easier to color inside.
  3. Print or save it. Print it right away, or download a PDF for US Letter or A4 paper, or a PNG to share.

What photos make the best coloring pages

  • One clear subject. A single pet, person, toy or building that fills most of the picture.
  • A simple background. A plain wall, sky or floor gives clean lines; a cluttered room adds lots of extra marks.
  • Good, even light. Daylight from a window works well. Very dark photos and strong shadows make patchy lines.
  • Sharp, not blurry. Hold the phone still and get close to the subject.

Questions and answers

Is the photo to coloring page converter free?

Yes. It is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark over your picture and no limit on how many photos you convert.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. Your photo is turned into line art by your own browser, on your phone or computer. It is never sent to our server or stored anywhere, so it is safe to use with photos of your kids or family.

What kind of photos work best?

Photos with one clear subject, a plain background and good, even light: a pet on a rug, a face close up, a house from across the street. Busy backgrounds, dark rooms and very small subjects make messy lines.

How do I get fewer or cleaner lines?

Choose "Less" detail and keep "Remove specks" turned on. For a younger child, also pick "Bold" lines so the shapes are easier to stay inside.

Can I print it on US Letter or A4 paper?

Yes. Print it straight from the page, or download a PDF sized for US Letter or A4. The page keeps a margin so nothing is cut off by your printer.

Can I use the coloring pages I make?

Yes. Pages made from your own photos are yours to print and share for personal, classroom and non-commercial use. Please only convert photos you have the right to use.
