It's the classic Thanksgiving project: dress up a plain turkey so it can hide from dinner. Every sheet prints on one page with dashed cut lines around each piece. Print one template or all of them as a single PDF on US Letter or A4. The mix and match sheet lets kids swap hats and costumes, which helps when a whole class needs different ideas. Easy: big shapes, thick lines · Medium: more detail
Tip: tick the pages you want, then print just those.

How to disguise a turkey in three steps
- Pick a disguise. Start with something your child loves. Food, jobs and animals are the easiest to explain to a class. If you're stuck, try the farmer, the cow or the mix and match sheet.
- Color, then cut. Color the turkey and the costume while they're still on the sheet. Cut along the dashed lines, leaving the small white edge.
- Glue it on and tell the story. Glue on the costume, then write one line about who the turkey is pretending to be.
Which disguise should we choose?
Short on time? Choose a sheet with big pieces and few colors, like the pumpkin or the snowman. Want a laugh in class? The police officer with a stop sign or the doctor with a prescription give kids a joke to tell. Have your own idea? The blank turkey template has empty pieces to design yourself.

Tips for the Disguise a Turkey Project
- Color first, then cut. Pieces are easier to color while they are still on the sheet.
- Print on card stock if the turkey has to survive the trip to school.
- Add real materials. Yarn for a beard, cotton balls for snow, felt or glitter for a cape all make the disguise stand out.
- Give the turkey a reason. Kids can write one sentence about why nobody would guess it's a turkey.
- Check the teacher's rules. Some classes ask for a family project, others want it colored only.
