How We Make Our Coloring Pages

Last updated Nov 3, 2026

Color Page is built by Nil Ni, a dad of three. This page explains how our pages are made, the rules they follow and how we fix mistakes.

How a page gets made

  1. We choose a topic people are looking for. We look at what parents and teachers search for, and at the requests people send us.
  2. An AI image tool draws it. Our pages are drawn with AI image models from a written description of the picture and our style rules.
  3. We turn it into clean line art. Each drawing is converted to sharp vector lines and laid out for US Letter and A4 with a margin, so it prints crisp and nothing gets cut off.
  4. It gets checked before it goes live. Every page is reviewed against the list below. A page that fails is redrawn or left out.

How we use AI, plainly

AI tools do most of the drawing, most of the first review, and help write the text on our pages. Nil sets the rules below, spot-checks what goes out and pulls anything that isn’t right. Some older pages were drawn with code instead of an image model, and we’re replacing the ones that don’t look good enough.

The rules every page follows

  • It matches its name. The picture shows what the title says, and any words on the page are spelled correctly.
  • It prints clean. Solid black lines on pure white, with no gray patches that waste ink.
  • Kids can color it. Closed shapes, and on easy pages, thick lines and big spaces.
  • It’s friendly. Nothing scary or gory, including on Halloween pages.
  • It’s original. No cartoon or movie characters, no brands or logos, and no real people.
  • No religious or occult symbols on our holiday and seasonal pages unless the page is about that holiday’s own traditions.

The text on our pages

Descriptions, tips and FAQs are written to help you pick a page and use it. We don’t invent reviews, testimonials or statistics. Each collection shows the date it was last updated.

Corrections

If a page has a mistake, doesn’t print right, or shouldn’t be here, tell us on our Contact page and include the page and paper size. We fix or remove it once we’ve checked. For copyright questions, see our Terms of Use.
